What is LMG Insurance's 24-hour emergency roadside assistance service ?

Your journey on the road will be even more fun and pleasant with you all the way. All LMG voluntary motor insurance customers can enjoy complimentary 24-hour roadside assistance service is available every day, seven days a week and Thailand country-wide.

Roadside assistance service at LMG Insurance includes:

  • Tyre change in cases of blow-outs or flat tyre
  • Jump start for a dead battery
  • Refuelling services (not exceeding 10 litres) when you run out of gas so you can drive to the nearest gas station at 1 time per year. Types of fuel include gasoline, gasohol and diesel only
  • Car lifting/towing service for a maximum distance of 35 kilometres. You will be charged for the distance beyond 35 kilometres - which the service personnel will inform you beforehand

What are the details of roadside assistance services ?

The details and conditions of the 24-hour assistance service are as follows:

  1. LMG roadside service is applicable for personal use of sedan and pick-up vehicle types only.
  2. The policyholder/car’s owner or an authorized person needs to attend to the car. If the service staff arrives at the scene and you are not there we need to assign the staff to meet you a 2nd time.
  3. If insured vehicles use LPG or NGV that are unable to refuel, the staff will arrange towing services to the nearest service station for your convenience.
  4. Other expenses i.e. spare parts, accessories, and labour fees of the subcontracted provider are borne by the policyholder or service requester.

How to make a car insurance claim with LMG Insurance ?

To claim insurance for a car with LMG Insurance, we categorize it into 2 cases: insurance claims involving a third party and without a third party. Here's a breakdown for each case.

Car insurance claims involving a third party

Car insurance claims involving a third party require a surveyor to investigate at the accident scene. This consists of accidents involving another party, injuries sustained by either party, damages to the insured vehicle and/or any other losses, and the total breakdown of the insured vehicle. In such insurance claims, the driver of the insured vehicle or the other party will receive proof of compensation from the surveyor to proceed to any network garages for car repair with the insurance claims documents.

  1. The insured or the owner of the vehicle must bring the insured vehicle or the other party's vehicle together with the repair cost quotation and come to an agreement on the repair cost at the company's office or branch.
  2. Please prepare the following required documents:
    • Copy of the vehicle registration
    • Copy of driver's license
    • Copy of ID card or copy of passport (for foreigners)
    • Power of attorney set of the grantor and grantee
    • Copy of the bank book if receiving payment via money transfer
  3. In the case where you prefer to repair your vehicle at a repair garage outside the in-network garage list, the company will arrange for an adjuster to approve the quoted repair cost at the centre.
  4. If you are not able to be present in-person, you have the option of delegating the authority to others to act on your behalf.

Car insurance claims not involving a third party

Car insurance claims not involving a third party do not require a surveyor to investigate at the accident scene. This consists of accidents that do not involve another party and with minor damages from accidentally bumping into a wall or hitting a pole. In such insurance claims, the driver of the insured vehicle can send the damaged vehicle for repairs at any of the in-network garages before the expiry date of the car insurance policy.

  1. Prepare all the required documents including a copy of the driver’s license, a copy of vehicle registration, and a copy of the insurance policy.
  2. Call to make an appointment with the selected in-network garage before bringing the vehicle over for repairs.
  3. Make a report at the in-network garage by filling an insurance claim form. The repair garage will automatically save it into the online claim system to receive the claim number.
